About Our Search
Our Baltimore office is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager.The Accounting Manager works closely with the Controller, supervises multiple team members and is an integral part of the Accounting team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise up to 3 Accounting staff
- Assist Controller with cash receipt and accounts receivable processes
- Manage all aspects of accounts payable process including reviewing work of Accounts Payable Specialist
- Understand accounting policies and ensure entries are recorded accurately and consistently
- Review monthly entries and reconciliations prepared by the Staff Accountant
- Responsible for the completion of the monthly consultant accrual process
- Responsible for all aspects of the transactions and financial statements of subsidiaries
- Provide assistance in compilation of information requested by external accounting firm for all entities
- Other projects as needed
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred. 10-15 years of accounting experience may suffice.
- Intermediate to advanced computer literacy, including experience in spreadsheets and project accounting software. Deltek Vantagepoint experience a plus.
- CPA is preferred
- Supervisory experience
- Ability to work with minimal guidance, prioritize and multitask
- Strong communication skills both oral and written
- Ability to interact and work with all levels of the organization
- Strong analytical skills and detail oriented

Maryland Statement
The projected base salary for this full-time position is $110,000-$120,000. Hord Coplan Macht’s salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location, as well as the individual’s education, experience, and skillsets. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of HCM’s total compensation package for employees.
