Position: Estimator
Location: Chattanooga, TN (on-site)Industry: General ContractingAbout the CompanyA well-established general contractor with projects across diverse sectors including churches, correctional facilities, gas/oil stations, retail, hospitality, and commercial construction. The firm manages 6–10 projects at a time ranging from $2M–$9M, with annual revenues between $30M–$40M.Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team in Chattanooga, TN. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for multiple commercial projects nationwide.
This role requires strong technical knowledge, proficiency with takeoffs, and the ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously.Key Responsibilities
- Manage bidding on 6–10 projects concurrently
- Develop detailed and accurate estimates based on project plans and specifications
- Conduct quantity takeoffs and prepare budgets
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met
- Provide conceptual budgets in cases where complete plans may not be available
- Ensure compliance with preconstruction requirements, including business licenses in applicable cities
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of commercial construction estimating experience with a general contractor
- Strong proficiency in takeoffs and cost estimating software
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to prepare conceptual budgets without complete plans
- Persistent, detail-oriented, and polished professional demeanor
- Strong phone presence and ability to engage with clients effectively

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $110,000 – $115,000 (based on experience)
- Performance-based bonuses, typically $4,000 – $14,000 annually
