Job Title: Bilingual Administrative Assistant - Birth to Five Center of Excellence


We are seeking a bilingual (English/Spanish) Administrative Assistant for our Health and Developmental Services Department – Birth to Five Center of Excellence. This position is responsible for diverse administrative duties, including answering phones, providing customer service, responding to and following up on insurance billing questions, screening appropriateness of referrals, completing referral forms, checking in clients, and working with the other Administrative Assistants to accomplish administrative duties within the program.

Other duties may include interpretation and translation, filing, database entry, copying, faxing, maintaining files, and other duties as assigned.This position is located at the agency’s main office and is offered full-time with an excellent benefits package. Hours are 9:00 – 6:00 pm, Monday – Friday. Southwest Human Development is an equal-opportunity employer. A primary responsibility of this position is to be the first point of contact for families with young children who are seeking services and to work with pediatrician offices and other community professionals referring for services.

Qualifications


  • HS/GED required
  • Previous experience as a receptionist and/or administrative assistant is preferred.
  • Familiarity with pediatric outpatient clinic settings and insurance billing processes is a plus.
  • Strong ability to prioritize tasks, work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience using database systems are required.
  • A willingness to learn Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software is essential.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish required.
  • Valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card preferred OR must qualify for a valid Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
