We provide commercial software products and custom softwaredevelopment and integration services for organizations in the broadcast, telecommunications,and government defense markets.CodeMettle is seeking a motivated UX Designer to join our growing design team. In this role, you will focus on improving new and existing content and the creation of intuitive, user-friendly digital experiences across our products. You’ll collaborate with product managers, developers, and senior designers to translate user needs into thoughtful design solutions. This is a great opportunity for someone who is eager to learn, experiment, and grow their UX skillset in a supportive environment.Essential Responsibilities:

  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and gathering insights to inform design decisions.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and user flows that communicate design ideas effectively.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs align with product goals and technical constraints.
  • Apply and contribute to our design system to maintain consistency across products.
  • Gather and apply feedback from senior designers, stakeholders, and end users.

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 1 - 3 years of experience in User Experience (UX) design.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing user-centered design projects. Please include your portfolio in your application.
  • Basic proficiency with design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision).
  • Understanding of user-centered design principles, design processes, and usability fundamentals.
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to present and defend design decisions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with business acumen and understanding software development lifecycle models such as Agile, Waterfall.
  • Experience working within or contributing to a design system.
  • Exposure to accessibility standards (WCAG).
