We provide commercial software products and custom softwaredevelopment and integration services for organizations in the broadcast, telecommunications,and government defense markets.CodeMettle is seeking a motivated UX Designer to join our growing design team. In this role, you will focus on improving new and existing content and the creation of intuitive, user-friendly digital experiences across our products. You’ll collaborate with product managers, developers, and senior designers to translate user needs into thoughtful design solutions. This is a great opportunity for someone who is eager to learn, experiment, and grow their UX skillset in a supportive environment.Essential Responsibilities:
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and gathering insights to inform design decisions.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and user flows that communicate design ideas effectively.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs align with product goals and technical constraints.
- Apply and contribute to our design system to maintain consistency across products.
- Gather and apply feedback from senior designers, stakeholders, and end users.
Required Qualifications:
- At least 1 - 3 years of experience in User Experience (UX) design.
- A strong portfolio showcasing user-centered design projects. Please include your portfolio in your application.
- Basic proficiency with design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision).
- Understanding of user-centered design principles, design processes, and usability fundamentals.
- Strong communication skills and willingness to present and defend design decisions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with business acumen and understanding software development lifecycle models such as Agile, Waterfall.
- Experience working within or contributing to a design system.
- Exposure to accessibility standards (WCAG).
