The Opportunity
TECKpert is seeking an
Application Support Developer
to join our team supporting our client, a government agency in Miami, FL. This role involves assisting in the development, testing, and maintenance of software applications and systems. The selected candidate will work with senior developers and analysts to translate business requirements into functional applications, troubleshoot technical issues, and support system enhancements.Job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Assist in designing, coding, testing, and debugging software applications.
- Modify and maintain existing applications to meet user needs.
- Collaborate with senior developers and business analysts to gather and document requirements.
- Create basic reports, queries, and scripts to support system operations.
- Participate in software testing and quality assurance activities.
- Provide user support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
- Maintain technical documentation and follow agency coding standards.
- Support database queries, updates, and data validation tasks.
Compensation and Term This opportunity is for a full-time, contract position with possible extensions and pay commensurate with experience up to $75,000 per year. Medical, dental, vision and life insurance available after 30 days of hire.Qualifications you
need
A successful Business Analyst has the following experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in Business Administration, Communication, Information Systems, or related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in software development or technical support role.
- Experience with web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
- Experience with Agile or Waterfall methodologies.
- Proficiency with at least one programming language (C#, Java, or Python).
- Familiarity with SQL and relational databases.
- Basic understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and follow technical guidance.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
