What you’ll do 


  • Support the finance team with the billings and accounts receivable collection process for enterprise customers.
  • Monitor customer accounts receivable balances and maintain accurate customer records.
  • Identify and address any discrepancies with customer balances and records by working closely with customers.
  • Follow up with customers regarding past-due payments.
  • Generate accurate and timely invoices based on contractual agreements with customers.
  • Apply cash collections accurately and efficiently to customer accounts.
  • Thoroughly review customer contracts to understand invoicing terms, payment schedules, and any specific billing requirements.
  • Collaborate with the sales and legal teams to ensure accurate interpretation and implementation of contract terms.
  • Maintain updated accounts receivable aging and metrics reports.
  • Support the General Ledger team during the monthly closing process.
  • Play an important role in ensuring timely reporting for finance, audit, and regulatory needs.
  • Assist with ad hoc accounting-related projects.

Your skill-set


  • 1-3 years of relevant experience within billing, collections, cash management, accounts receivable, or other similar experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or similar, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in a remote environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting and meet deadlines.
  • Successful candidates must have the maturity and ability to work on their own initiative while maintaining the quality of work and effective working relationships with both internal and external customers.

Within 30 days, you’ll


  • Complete onboarding and attend New Employee Orientation sessions with other new Pindroppers.
  • Come up to speed on the position and organization, be able to craft a summary of strengths and opportunities, and begin to develop a plan going forward.
  • Learn the financial system (NetSuite), and billings/collections systems (Coupa & Ariba).

Within 60 days, you’ll


  • Be able to process invoices and apply payments to open invoices.
  • Reconcile and maintain accurate AR aging and related reports.
  • Own the process of reaching out to customers and follow up on past-due payments.

Within 90 days, you’ll


  • Drive regular AR update meetings with upper-level management.
  • Support the accounting team with all relevant areas related to billings, collections, and revenue for the monthly close process.
  • Produce accurate and timely reports to support the annual audit.
  • Get opportunities to dive in and participate in many new and exciting projects that the accounting team is working on!
  • Teach us something new.
