The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing preventative and reactive maintenance on a wide range of industrial equipment and systems within our manufacturing and warehouse facilities. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems, as well as the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and ensure the smooth operation of critical equipment. With a passion for quality, environmental health and safety (QEH&S), you will enhance a high performing team to produce best-in-class biotechnology products.This role is onsite at our Hazelwood, MO location.

Essential Functions


  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on equipment and systems according to established procedures and schedules, including but not limited to:
  • HVAC systems (including cleanroom HVAC)
  • Pumps, valves, and piping systems
  • Electrical panels and distribution systems
  • Compressed air systems
  • Packaging, milling, and other automated machinery
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and malfunctions promptly, diagnose problems, and implement effective repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Assist in the installation, commissioning, and modification of new and existing equipment.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment logs, and calibration records.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including Lockout/Tagout procedures, and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Perform or coordinate the calibration of critical equipment and instruments.
  • Work with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or maintenance services.
  • Assist in managing inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies.
  • Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) as applicable.

Knowledge & Application


  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Knowledge of HVAC, Refrigeration, PLC systems, and control systems is a plus.

Work Environment:


  • Actively working on the production floor contucting maintenance routines and working on equipment
  • Job will involve some office and computer-based work for record keeping
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights.
  • Ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)

Required Education & Experience


  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or technical certification in industrial maintenance, electrical technology, or a related field strongly preferred.
  • Experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in a biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or related industry.

Must be authorized to work in the United States.

All remote positions and those not located in our Berkeley facility are paid based on National Benchmark data.  Following employment, growth beyond the hiring range is possible based on performance.Hiring Compensation Range$38.46—$38.46 USD
