About Us

(The Client) we are on a mission to bring real-world visibility to the most complex projects on Earth. As a Series A company backed by leading investors, we are forming a foundational team of passionate, innovative builders. We thrive on solving complex problems and believe that a reliable, scalable, and performant platform is the bedrock of our success.

The Opportunity

This isn't your typical SRE role. You won't just be maintaining existing systems; you'll be the architect of our future infrastructure. As a foundational member of our engineering team, you will have a rare opportunity to design, build, and own the core systems that will power our growth from a Series A startup to an industry leader. We are looking for a technical leader who is passionate about reliability and has a proven track record of driving organizational change. You will be empowered to make critical architectural decisions, champion best practices, and build the observability, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code frameworks that will enable our entire engineering team to ship with confidence and speed.

What You'll Do

Architect for Scale: Design, build, and own our core infrastructure from the ground up on AWS, ensuring it's scalable, resilient, and secure for our next phase of growth.Champion Observability: Lead the strategy and implementation of a comprehensive observability platform. You'll go beyond basic monitoring to provide deep insights into system health and performance using metrics, logging, and tracing.Automate Everything: Architect and maintain robust, unifying CI/CD pipelines that empower our product engineering teams to ship high-quality code faster and more safely.

You'll be a key driver in reducing our time-to-market.Drive Reliability: Proactively identify and remediate production issues before they impact customers. You will own our incident response process, conduct blameless post-mortems, and use data to drive down Mean Time to Resolution (MTTR) and reduce alert fatigue.Lead with Influence: Act as a subject matter expert, mentoring other engineers and advocating for SRE principles across the organization. Your work will directly influence our engineering culture and standards.

What We're Looking For

Extensive Experience: 5-10+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or a similar infrastructure-focused role.Proven Technical Leadership: A track record of driving significant technical initiatives that resulted in measurable improvements across an organization. You don't just implement tools; you change how teams think about reliability and operations.Greenfield Expertise: Demonstrated experience designing and building critical infrastructure from scratch in a startup or high-growth environment (e.g.

establishing a company's first Kubernetes platform, creating a unified CI/CD strategy, or building an observability stack from the ground up).Proactive & Data-Driven Mindset: You have concrete examples of how you've used data to proactively improve system reliability, automate manual toil, and systematically reduce alert noise.Strong Technical Foundation: Deep expertise in infrastructure-as-code (e.g. Ansible, Terraform, Pulumi), containerization (e.g., Docker), and cloud-native technologies (e.g. Github Actions).

Bonus Points

Experience managing infrastructure across multiple cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure).A passion for leveraging and contributing to open-source or source-available technologies (e.g., Ansible, Prometheus, Pulumi, Grafana, or Sentry).Experience with modern security practices and tools (e.g., SAML, IAM, network security, vulnerability scanning).Proficiency in a programming language such as python, c#, or golang.

Why Join Us?

High Impact: Be one of the first SREs at a rapidly growing company and leave your mark on our technology and culture.Ownership: You will have significant autonomy and responsibility from day one.Competitive Compensation: We offer a competitive salary, meaningful equity, and comprehensive benefits.Great Culture: Join a collaborative, transparent, and mission-driven team.If you are a builder who wants to solve hard problems and create a world-class platform from the ground up, we would love to hear from you.
