A Brief Overview


The Vice President of Business Development for Justice Services drives the business development strategy for the Justice Services division, targeting partnerships and contracts within the justice system, including law enforcement, corrections, and related agencies. The role requires a deep understanding of the justice sector's unique needs and regulatory landscape. This will be a remote position. 

What you will do


  • Develop and execute strategic plans to penetrate the justice services market.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key justice system stakeholders.
  • Oversee proposal development and contract negotiations for justice-related initiatives.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities within the justice services domain.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Identifies prospective clients through research, phone calls, networking, industry trade shows and face-to-face meetings.
  • Markets to prospective clients (print advertisements, flyers, email campaigns, etc.).
  • Presents and sells our “team approach” method of providing consulting services to prospective clients.
  • Develops and maintains a relationship built on mutual trust and respect with prospective clients.
  • Gains a commitment from prospective clients to work exclusively with the Company, coordinates MOU documents with Executive Vice President.
  • Coordinates submission of RFPs and maintains accurate records of clientele and business development activity in Company database.
  • Recruits, develops and leads the conceptualization, creation and maintenance of key sales enablement resources required for market positioning and acquisition of customers.
  • Ensures all aspects of product delivery are complete so that customer enablement and product adoption is seamless and timely.
  • Builds and delivers specific market messaging driving key pursuit opportunities.
  • Works with the client-facing teams (support, client success, etc.) to ensure teams are enabled for effective services and feature delivery.
  • Analyzes competitive offerings and potential partnership opportunities related to the services offered.
  • Facilitates, organizes, and attends business development related Company events.
  • This position requires driving for the Company using either 1) a Company vehicle, at any frequency from Rarely to Constantly; or, 2) a Personal or Rental vehicle to conduct Company business more than 50% of the time to perform work duties.

Qualifications


  • Bachelor's Degree (Sales, Marketing, or Business Administration preferred). Required
  • 10+ years proven experience in a Sales or Business Development role. Required and
  • minimum 5 years driving cross functional services, marketing, and sales go-to-market program initiatives. Required and
  • Demonstrated experience managing large, complex pursuits. Required and
  • Experience describing and documenting project or client requirements. Required
  • Strong customer focus and customer service skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Must be detailed oriented with a concern for quality expressed by continually initiating system and process improvements.
  • Strong management skills based on several years of experience, including people development and team building.
  • Ability to prioritize and work independently; excellent time management.
  • Superior consulting, leadership, management, interpersonal and mentoring skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), In-Design publishing software and pursuit tracking software.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and extensive criminal background checks.
  • Requires a detail-oriented, self-starter, who takes initiative, able to prioritize, and multi-task in busy environment.
  • Demonstrated strong customer service skills and ability to present at all levels of the organization.
  • Must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills, particularly the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and industry professionals.
  • DL NUMBER - Driver's License, Valid and in State Must have a valid Driver's License Required

Compensation


We are committed to offering competitive and equitable compensation. The hiring range for this position is generally between $137,500.00 to $178,500.00, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. This position is also eligible for a performance bonus. Final salaries will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, licenses, certifications, and/or experience. In addition to these factors – we believe in the importance of pay equity. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the general Hiring Range for the role.

Hiring at the top of the range is reserved for exceptionally qualified candidates. We consider internal and external factors as a part of every final offer. We also offer a generous total compensation and benefits package.
