Job Description:
Your role as Legal Counsel is to provide legal support across the organization. Key activities will include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of contracts, ensuring company policies and practices comply with applicable laws, advising on data protection and privacy matters, and supporting international client dealings. You will also contribute to the development and implementation of internal company policies, and oversee the company’s general legal operations.You are detail-oriented, proactive, and business-minded, with expertise in commercial contracts, data protection, and international legal matters.

Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate various contracts, including client agreements, NDAs, BAAs, DPAs, and vendor contracts
- Draft, review, and update the company's Terms of Service, Data Processing Policies, and Privacy Policies to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Provide legal advice on data protection and privacy issues, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Assist in developing and implementing internal policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance across all business operations
- Advise on intellectual property matters, including trademarks and copyrights
- Handle legal aspects of international client dealings, ensuring compliance with relevant international laws and regulations
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that may impact the company and its clients
- Support the HR department in company-related matters
- Collaborate with external legal counsel as necessary for specialized legal matters
- Provide training and guidance to employees on legal issues and compliance matters
- Legal research
- Oversee all general legal operations
- Also performs all other tasks at the behest of the Company's director
You’ll be a great fit for this role if you have:
- Minimum of 3 years of in-house legal experience, ideally within the IT sector
- Proficiency in English
- Proven experience in drafting and reviewing legal documents
- Familiarity with international regulatory frameworks and compliance practices
- Good understanding of data protection regulations, IP laws and other relevant technology-related regulations
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively across teams
- Proactiveness, problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
- Strong multitasking abilities with excellent oral and written communication skills
Bonus points:
- Master’s degree in Law (LL.M. or equivalent)
- Knowledge of emerging AI regulations and their implications for SaaS/IT
