For more information, please visit www.vanessen.com. This role is responsible for driving sales growth through securing, implementing, planning, and finalizing projects and tenders. This position will manage key projects in the Netherlands to ensure that projects are completed on time, within scope and within budget. The ideal candidate should be able to deal with various data driven services for groundwater and surface water monitoring networks by using Van Essen hardware, software, and other tools. The Project Manager is responsible for reporting feedback on product performance, customer experience and relevant market information to drive new product development. The candidate will be based out of the office in Delft, the Netherlands.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare project tender proposals including the scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and budgets;
- Manage assigned projects and ensure that they are completed on time, within scope and budget;
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensure high levels of customer satisfaction to ensure continuous repeat business;
- Coordinate internal resources and subcontractors for flawless execution of projects;
- Provide clients with data validation, data analysis and data interpretation reports;
- Deliver regular updates to clients on project status and address any concerns promptly;
- Provide hardware and software expertise to customers;
- Build and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders;
- Cooperate with the R&D department on the development and testing of new hardware and software;
- Gather market information on trends, developments, and competitors;
- Perform product demonstrations, technical presentations, and training as required;
- Consistently meet or exceed targets and KPIs set by the Monitoring Services Manager;

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management, preferably in water monitoring or environmental services;
- University or Master’s degree in hydrogeology, environmental science, and/or earth sciences;
- Experience in preparing tenders and proposals for governmental organizations;
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and reporting skills;
- Strong problem solving skills;
- Self-motivated and results driven;
- Capable to work with large data sets;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office required;
- Experience with SQL databases and Scripting (Python) is beneficial;
- Fluent in English and Dutch is required;
- Domestic travel required;
- Driving License B.
Additional Information:
- This is an onsite opportunity that must be performed from Delft, the Netherlands.
- Must be eligible to work in the Netherlands without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization. F-1 visa holders with Optional Practical Training (OPT) who will require H-1B status, TNs, or current H-1B visa holders will not be considered. H1-B and green card sponsorship is not available for this position.
Compensation:
- A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is EUR 55,000 to EUR 70,000 annually. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. AEM considers a wide range of factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education, licensure and certifications, key skills as well as other market and business considerations when extending an offer.
