The Employee Relations Specialist will be the primary point of contact for all employer relations matters in our Mexico City office. This individual will work closely with the local HR team to ensure compliance with Mexican employment and labor law and to build a strong workplace culture. This role also offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with international offices, bringing a local perspective to our global employer relations strategy and contributing to our success as a worldwide company.

Responsibilities


  • Implement and maintain employer relations programs, policies, and procedures for our operations in Mexico City.
  • Oversee the signing of contracts and all hiring documentation for all new hires and ensure all employee files are maintained accurately and in compliance with local regulations.
  • Be the first point of contact to HR Business Partners and all levels of management on complex employment matters, such as resignations, terminations, and corrective actions.
  • Lead internal investigations in partnership with Leadership and Human Resources.
  • Respond to internal employee concerns and proactively identify and address employment relations risks and trends.
  • Partner with HR Business Partners to develop and implement action plans based on investigation trends and employee engagement insights.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to identify opportunities to elevate the employee relations function and improve the overall employee experience.

Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in law or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of work experience in Mexican employment and labor law, with a focus on a corporate setting in Mexico.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data reporting and problem-solving.
  • Proven ability to work with integrity, good judgment, and to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
  • Fluency in both Spanish and English.
