The
Sales Manager – Financial Services is a revenue-generating role focused on hunting new opportunities and expanding existing relationships within financial services. This individual will be responsible for prospecting, qualifying, and closing deals for Somos’ fraud mitigation, identity verification, and trusted communications solutions.  

Key Responsibilities


  • New Business Hunting
  • Identify, prospect, and qualify new opportunities within banks, credit unions, and fintechs. 

  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline through research, outreach, networking, and participation in financial industry events. 

  • Drive the full sales cycle: prospecting → discovery → solution presentation → proposal → negotiation → close. 

  • Account Growth

  • Expand revenue with existing accounts by uncovering new use cases and upselling additional Somos solutions. 

  • Build long-term customer relationships with decision-makers and influencers across fraud, compliance, risk, and IT teams. 

  • Value-Based Selling

  • Position Somos solutions to directly address customer challenges in fraud prevention, identity authentication, and regulatory compliance. 

  • Collaborate with internal product and marketing teams to share market feedback and tailor assets,to financial industry language and needs. 

  • Market Engagement

  • Attend industry conferences and association meetings to build brand presence and generate leads. 

  • Stay up to date on fraud, identity, and regulatory trends impacting the financial sector to inform sales strategy. 

Qualifications


  • 10+ years of enterprise sales experience, with at least 5–7 years selling into the financial services industry (banks, credit unions, or fintechs). 

  • Demonstrated success in hunting new business and meeting/exceeding sales quotas. 

  • Strong knowledge of fraud prevention, identity verification, CPaaS, or related security/communications solutions. 

  • Proven ability to build and maintain C-level and senior decision-maker relationships. 

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. 

  • Comfortable with CRM tools, pipeline management, and structured sales processes. 

  • Willingness to travel to customer sites and industry events (30% Travel Required).

Salary and Benefits


  • Salary Range: $128,000 - $140,000 plus sales incentive/commission
