Summary of Job:
The Vice President of Engineering will lead Lumistry’s Engineering organization through its next stage of growth with a seat on the Executive Leadership Team (ELT). This Leader will own software delivery, engineering velocity, and technical execution, while partnering closely with Product and Operations Leadership to ensure scalability, quality, compliance, and innovation across the platform.The VP of Engineering will play a key role in building out engineering leadership, refining agile processes, maturing architecture, and embedding innovation, while maintaining a culture of accountability and excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Strategy
- Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing Engineering Team across multiple locations.
- Partner with Product leadership to align technical execution with roadmap priorities.
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Define engineering KPIs and drive accountability for velocity, quality, uptime, and delivery.
Execution & Delivery
- Own agile software development processes, ensuring predictable release cadence.
- Improve velocity, reduce technical debt, and enhance system reliability.
- Oversee DevOps, QA, and engineering managers to ensure seamless delivery.
- Establish and enforce best practices in code quality, reviews, documentation, and release management.
Architecture & Scale
- Partner with Senior Leadership to evolve platform architecture for scalability, performance, and security.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (HIPAA, HITRUST, TCPA), embedding security and privacy by design.
- Implement best practices around cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, monitoring, and automation.
- Support integration of new modules, acquisitions, and third-party platforms.
- Leverage AI/ML and automation to improve product innovation, engineering efficiency, and pharmacy workflows.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Product, Data, and Operations leaders to ensure customer needs are met with technical excellence.
- Act as the voice of Engineering in board and investor discussions, translating technical outcomes into business impact metrics.
- Ensure engineering resources are deployed effectively to support growth priorities.
- Drive engineering decisions that deliver measurable improvements in pharmacy workflows, operational efficiency, and patient engagement.

Required Skills and Experience:
- 10+ years of progressive engineering leadership experience, including at least 5 years in a VP or Director level role within a SaaS business.
- Strong track record of improving engineering velocity, process maturity, and release reliability.
- Experience with modern SaaS stacks (cloud-native, microservices, APIs, security/compliance frameworks); familiarity with AI/ML infrastructure or AI-assisted development a plus.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills. Able to build trust with Engineers, Peers, Executives, and Investors.
- Previous experience in healthcare tech, pharmacy SaaS, or regulated environments a strong plus
