Maintain upkeep on planer machine and feed table and keep correct adjustments to maintain dimension in lumber.
The rate of pay for this position is $38.66 per hour.Daily Job Duties:
- Maintain correct width and thickness on lumber.
- Must be able to read and use a caliper.
- Keep sharp knives in machine and operate overhead crane to manually perform maintenance lubrication on machine.
- Use rachet and torque wrench to change knives.
- Clear jams and hang ups in machine.
- Manually adjust with wrenches to machine.
- Work regularly scheduled shifts.
- Work scheduled overtime – as required.
- Clean up during down time using air wand, rake, and shovel.
- Works in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to work any shift
- Prior lumber mill experience preferred
- Able to work in a team environment
- Self-motivated, hard worker
- Must be a safety oriented individual
