Job Title: Senior Software Engineer - IPA – Team Lead (IC4)

About the Role


GHX’s Intelligent Process Automation (IPA) engineering team is transforming manual, error-prone business processes into intelligent, efficient, and highly accurate digital workflows. A significant portion of the work will focus on digitizing business documents received via fax or PDF, leveraging advanced AI/ML capabilities for document understanding and data extraction.We are looking for a Senior IPA Engineer who will not only lead a small engineering team but also provide technical direction, mentor developers, and collaborate closely with business and product stakeholders to deliver high-value automation solutions.We are seeking a Senior IPA Engineer to lead the development and delivery of scalable automation solutions across business functions and would require hands-on expertise in RPA platforms (UiPath, Automation Anywhere, etc.), intelligent document processing, and cloud deployment (preferably AWS)..

You will guide a team of automation engineers, contribute to architectural decisions, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to drive end-to-end automation strategy.

Key Responsibilities


Technical Leadership & Delivery


  • Lead the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of IPA solutions for complex business processes.
  • Oversee digitization workflows for high-volume business documents, including OCR, document classification, and intelligent field extraction.
  • Ensure smooth integration of IPA bots with upstream and downstream enterprise systems via APIs and other data exchange mechanisms.
  • Create and track KPIs to demonstrate the value of the platform by creating Dashboards and metrics using tools like OpenSearch
  • Define coding, testing, and deployment best practices for IPA development.

  • Stay current with emerging technologies such as GenAI, LLMs, and agentic AI.

Cloud & Infrastructure


  • Architect and maintain RPA/IPA solutions deployed on AWS, leveraging services like EC2, S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS/SNS, and CloudWatch.
  • Ensure scalability, high availability, and security of the automation platform.
  • Collaborate with DevOps/Infra teams for CI/CD pipelines and environment provisioning.

Team Management & Mentorship


  • Lead and mentor a team of automation engineers, providing technical guidance and performance feedback.
  • Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • Drive knowledge sharing, documentation, and cross-training across the team.

Process & Stakeholder Management


  • Work closely with business analysts and process owners to identify and prioritize automation opportunities.
  • Work with business analysts, QA engineers, and product managers to translate business needs into scalable automation designs.
  • Ensure all automation solutions meet business requirements, security compliance, and quality standards.
  • Report project status, risks, and progress to leadership and stakeholders.

Required Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 8–10 years of software engineering experience, with at least 5 years in RPA development (UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, or similar).
  • Proven track record of leading engineering teams or managing technical delivery in automation projects.
  • Strong understanding of Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) concepts and tools.
  • Expertise in AWS cloud services for hosting and scaling automation solutions.
  • Solid experience with API integrations (REST/SOAP) and system interoperability.
  • Proficiency in scripting/programming languages like Python, C#, or JavaScript for automation and integrations.

Preferred Qualifications


  • UiPath Advanced Developer or Solution Architect certification (or equivalent in other RPA platforms).
  • AWS Cloud practitioner certification
