The 1916 Company’s vibrant community extends from coast to coast and aroundthe world.Part-time Accounting InternOur company is offering a Part-Time Accounting Intern position to a candidate who wants to gain hands-on experience working in a fast-paced Accounting/Finance Department. The position is in Bala Cynwyd working 16-25 hours a week 2 days in office. And,additional hours are available depending on workload and availability.Intern Duties and Responsibilities
- Journal Entries/Accounts Payable:
- Prepare and post accurate journal entries in NetSuite.
- Ensure all entries comply with company policies and accounting standards.
- Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies as needed.
- Enter bills for accounts payable in NetSuite
- Reconcile vendor statements for open bills compared to NetSuite.
- Assist in the preparation and updating of month-end schedules.
- Support the team in closing the books, including reconciling accounts and preparing financial reports
- Bank Reconciliations and Daily cash reconcilement.
- Perform ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as needed.
- Attend and participate in team meetings and training sessions.
- Administrative duties as assigned.
- Participate in audits and provide necessary documentation and support.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Familiarity with NetSuite or other accounting software is preferred but not a requirement.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
