Phlebotomist
Prometheus Federal Services (PFS), a trusted partner to federal health agencies, has an opening for a Dental Assistant. This individual will perform onsite phlebotomy and specimen procession. The work will be on-site at Carl Vinson VA Medical Center in Dublin, GA.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Dental Assistant shall provide clinical and administrative support services to the dental service unit. Duties to include but not limited to:
- The dental assistant shall provide chair-side assistance for general and specialty dental procedures to include restorative, prosthodontic and surgical procedures.
- The dental assistant shall prepare the treatment rooms and instruments for patient care ensuring appropriateness as to procedure being delivered
- The dental assistant shall retract tissue, suction and pass instruments during procedures.
- The dental assistant will be proficient in taking digital radiographs.
- The dental assistant shall follow all infection control standards and protocols in compliance with the Carl Vinson VA Medical Center guidelines.
- The dental assistant shall comply with the VA regulations for safety and privacy.
- The dental assistant shall be available to work Tuesday - Friday, 0800 - 1630 and some Saturdays from 0800 - 1200.
- The dental assistant must meet the needs of the customer while supporting the medical center and service missions. The dental assistant must treat the customers to include the patients, visitors, volunteers and all medical center staff in a courteous, tactful, and respectful manner.
- The dental assistant will work under the general supervision of the dental chief or designee.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of two (2) years of recent dental assistant experience
- Certificated as a Dental Assistant
- DANB Certification preferred
- Active BLS (AHA Preferred) Card
- Proven ability to speak, understand, read, and write English fluently
- Authorized to work in the U.S. indefinitely without sponsorship (all jobs)
- Ability to obtain a public trust
