Job Description:


ASG is seeking a Telephony/Voice Specialist. This role ensures availability and reliability of voice communications at central distribution centers, and regional offices worldwide. The Telephony/Voice Specialist will provide configuration, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management of enterprise voice systems, including VoIP, SIP trunking, SBCs, gateways, dial plans, QoS, and E911 services, while ensuring compliance with DoD/DISA standards. 

What You Will Do:


  • Provides engineering, administration, and Tier II/III support for enterprise telephony and voice network systems. 
  • Configures and manages Session Border Controllers (SBCs), voice gateways, call control platforms, and SIP trunking. 
  • Designs, implements, and maintains dial plans, QoS policies, and E911 routing/policies across DeCA’s enterprise voice infrastructure. 
  • Performs incident troubleshooting, change management, and outage resolution for telephony services. 
  • Maintains documentation including runbooks, SOPs, and system diagrams for voice network services. 
  • Collaborates with network engineers, cybersecurity teams, and system owners to integrate secure voice services into the hybrid IT environment. 
  • Supports patching, upgrades, and lifecycle refresh of telephony systems in accordance with DISA directives. 
  • Generates voice service performance reports, SLA compliance data, and metrics dashboards for leadership. 
  • Contributes to audit readiness and IA compliance related to voice infrastructure. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Requirements

What We Need:


  • Minimum 5 years of experience in voice/telephony engineering or network administration with VoIP systems. 
  • Hands-on experience with call control, SIP trunking, SBCs, and E911 services. 
  • Expertise in managing and executing multiple complex work assignments. 
  • Ability to apply originality and innovation in developing solutions to broad or challenging tasks. 
  • Proven experience operating with independence and discretion in creating methodologies and delivering solutions. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to address complex technical or operational challenges. 
  • Travel up to 25% may be required based on project needs. 

Certifications


  •  DoD 8570/8140 IAT II or III baseline certification (Security+ CE minimum)  

Clearance:


Active Secret Clearance.

Even Better


  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Networking, or related field. 
  • Cisco CCNA Collaboration / CCNP Collaboration, or equivalent vendor certifications. 
  • ITIL v4 Foundation for ITSM/incident/change processes. 
  • Familiarity with DISA voice standards, VoIP STIGs, and UC/telephony compliance frameworks. 
  • Experience with VoIP monitoring tools and performance optimization. 
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills in large-scale enterprise telephony environments.
