Job Description: Administrative Manager II
Position Overview
The Administrative Manager II provides professional management and support services to ensure the effective operation of the Joint Tactical Networking Center (JTNC). This position is responsible for coordinating and supporting a wide range of administrative services that enable the organization to operate efficiently, including scheduling, records management, travel coordination, facilities management, and communications support. The role requires strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills to support leadership and enhance operational productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage administrative services, including payroll, records, mail, facilities, travel, and telecommunications.
- Support leadership through calendar management, meeting coordination, and preparation of presentations, briefings, and reports.
- Manage conference and teleconference logistics, ensuring smooth execution of both classified and unclassified events.
- Administer office systems, data repositories, and knowledge management tools such as SharePoint and Power BI.
- Support program documentation including meeting minutes, reports, white papers, and data calls to ensure compliance with JTNC standards.
- Assist with procurement, distribution, and property management functions, ensuring proper accountability for assets and supplies.
- Provide correspondence management, including drafting, editing, and proofreading documentation to DoD standards.
- Oversee planning and coordination for special events, meetings, and engagements, including classified-level support where required.
- Ensure compliance with DoD, DON, and NAVWAR security, records management, and administrative requirements.
- Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and enhance customer support services.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration.Experience: Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in administrative or operations management, preferably in a Government Acquisition Program Office (APO).Skills and Competencies:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
- Experience with Defense Travel System (DTS) and conference planning.
- Strong knowledge of government acquisition processes and contract management.
- Excellent communication skills, with ability to draft and edit documentation to DoD standards.
- Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and comply with DoD security requirements.
- Proven ability to coordinate across functional teams and support executives in classified and unclassified environments.
