CarboPosition Summary: The Sales Engineer you will play a critical role in driving sales and fostering client relationships. With a keen focus on innovation and technical expertise, you will collaborate closely with clients to understand their unique needs and challenges, delivering tailored solutions using CARBO's cutting-edge products. This is a CONTRACT ROLE, not a W-2 position.
Candidate must reside in Southeast Asia or Australia. Occasional travel to CARBO HQ in Houston, Texas.

Key Roles / Responsibilities:
- Build robust and enduring relationships with existing and prospective clients, actively seeking new business opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with clients to understand their specific needs and challenges, delivering tailored solutions using CARBO's advanced products.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of CARBO's diverse product line and technologies, staying at the forefront of industry trends and technological advancements.
- Effectively communicate technical details to clients, conducting product demonstrations and presentations when necessary.
- Stay informed about Customs, Environmental Regulations, and commercialization requirements for CARBO products in designated geographical areas, ensuring compliance and securing necessary permits.
- Develop and execute effective sales strategies, fostering collaboration with customers to achieve ambitious revenue targets.
- Exceed sales targets by promoting and selling advanced stimulation and fracturing technologies.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial terms for all parties involved.
- Utilize advanced CRM tools for active sales pipeline management, ensuring accurate forecasting and driving high closure rates.
- Implement best practices for lead generation, opportunity tracking, and efficient client relationship management.
- Conduct comprehensive market analyses in designated geographical areas, assessing competition, sizing the market, and identifying opportunities and challenges.
- Continuously monitor and analyze trends, competitor threats, and regulatory changes, providing regular reports to the executive team.
- Identify and analyze new markets, key stakeholders, competitors, and regulatory requirements for CARBO products.
- Develop and implement strategies to penetrate and establish a presence in new markets.
- Drive initiatives to diversify the client portfolio beyond established markets.
- Leverage CARBO's in-depth expertise in oil and gas products, stimulation, fracturing, and oilfield chemistry to provide customers with technical guidance and support during the sales process.
- Identify technology gaps and collaborate with R&D and manufacturing teams to offer customized solutions, aligning with client requirements.
- Utilize language proficiency to cultivate global client relationships.
- Travel internationally as needed to engage with clients, understand market nuances, and explore international business opportunities.
Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of oil and gas upstream business, oilfield chemistry, and refining processes.
- Proven track record in technical sales with a history of exceeding sales targets in the last 5 years.
- Willingness to travel internationally to meet with clients and explore new business opportunities.
- Fluent proficiency in English and Indonesian and knowledge of Mandarin is a plus.
- Results-driven, adaptable to a dynamic and challenging sales environment, and proactive in creating new sales opportunities with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in using CRM tools to manage client interactions, lead generations, and sales activities, while accurately forecasting to meet business objectives.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Customer-centric mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service and building long-term relationships.
- Excellent listening skills to understand client needs, pain points, requirements, and objectives and ability to translate them into actionable solutions.
- Proven track record of identifying market gaps, capitalizing on technologies, and driving sales and business growth.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, and marketing, to develop and implement successful sales and business development strategies.
