Position SummaryThe Merchandise Operations Coordinator provides essential support to Girls on the Run councils, offering proactive and responsive service concerning merchandise and ordering processes.
This role is also the primary point of contact for general inquiries from internal and external parties. The Merchandise Coordinator works closely with finance and marketing - offering support with customer service, project management, and other key cross-departmental work.A successful Merchandise Operations Coordinator:

ResponsibilitiesThis job description reflects management’s assignment of essential functions; it does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned.
- Use Shopify to manage the full-cycle ordering process for curricula and program materials, including purchase orders, order placement, and coordinating order fulfillment with warehouse.
- Create and maintain product listings in Shopify for program materials and branded merchandise (titles, descriptions, images, pricing), manage product variants (size, color, style) and ensure accurate inventory by SKU.
- Use project management software to assist the Operations Manager with merchandise programs and ensure seamless cross-departmental collaboration on merchandise tasks, responsibilities, and deadlines.
- Respond to council merchandise questions, including order status and approval requests, with timely and professional customer service.
- Assist with the product development process as needed.
- Help to coordinate merch assortment strategies on GOTRshop.com, assessing sales and inventory and website campaigns.
- Assist with compliance and audit review of councils as needed.
- Collect and provide data to vendors to help manage operations.

- Customer service and/or project management experience
- Strong communicator with excellent written and interpersonal skills
- Experience with project management and order management software
- Ability to work with people in a remote, matrix-environment
- Excellent technology skills with the ability to learn new software quickly
- Shopify/Shopify POS or similar platform experience preferred
- Proficient in PowerPoint, Word (mail merge) and Excel (e.g. formulas, VLOOKUP’s, pivot tables)
- Experience in Asana and SharePoint
