The
Technical Project Manager will play a key role in managing and driving successful delivery of multiple technical initiatives at Baylor Genetics, under Customer Experience Platform. This role requires strong project management expertise with a solid understanding of software development lifecycles, cross-team dependencies, and technical delivery practices. The ideal candidate will have experience managing enterprise-scale programs, working closely with engineering teams, product owners, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure predictable and high-quality delivery.
They will be responsible for program-level planning, risk and dependency management, consolidated reporting, and ensuring execution discipline across multiple PODs while aligning with strategic goals.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in technical project management or program management.
- Proven track record managing complex, multi-team software development projects.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Hybrid).
- Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar project tracking platforms.
- Knowledge of Microservices, APIs, Integration (HL7/FHIR), and Cloud technologies (Azure/AWS) is highly desirable.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills; able to coordinate across Product, QA, DevOps, Security, and Compliance teams.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with risk management, status reporting, and executive communication.
- PMP, CSM, SAFe, or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Project Tracking & Reporting: Maintain a consolidated program view of timelines, milestones, and dependencies across all PODs.
- Cross-Team Coordination: Drive alignment with supporting departments (QA, Infra, Security, Compliance, Legal, Product).
- Risk & Dependency Management: Proactively identify, document, and mitigate risks and interdependencies.
- Execution Discipline: Ensure teams adhere to defined processes, milestones, and delivery commitments.
- Status Communication: Provide clear, concise updates and dashboards for Directors and leadership.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with Product Owners and Directors to ensure priorities align with business goals.
- Process Improvement: Standardize project tracking and reporting practices across PODs.
- Documentation: Maintain project plans, risk registers, dependency logs, and governance documents.
- Support Strategic Programs: Oversee delivery of key initiatives like OOPV2 while managing operational POD work.
- Additional duties as assigned.

- Cross-POD Delivery Management: Oversee execution across different PODs.
- Risk & Dependency Management: Identify, track, and mitigate risks and interdependencies early.
- Consolidated Reporting: Deliver program-level dashboards, KPIs, and status reports for leadership.
- Stakeholder Alignment: Ensure ongoing coordination with Product, Engineering, and cross-functional teams.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive adoption of best practices to improve predictability and reduce execution risk.
