Position Description:


 This position is a hands-on administrator managing all server (Windows & Linux) administration for the Business supported by maintaining the integrity of the IT infrastructure and providing quality end-user support. This position is responsible as second level of IT support escalation, supporting helpdesk with more advanced Windows (Desktop/Server), Linux, M365, and networking requests – and will report to the Director of IT Support.  Responsible for oversight of daily operations of the relating to the applicable systems ensuring all projects, maintenance schedules and issue remediations are performed in alignment with business goals.

  

Responsibilities: 


  • Proactively maintain and develop all infrastructure technology to maintain a 24x7x365 uptime service.
  • Engineering of systems administration-related solutions for various project and operational needs.
  • Maintain best practices on managing systems and services across all environments.
  • Fault finding, analysis and of logging information for reporting of performance exceptions.
  • Proactively monitoring system performance and capacity planning.
  • Manage, coordinate, and implement software upgrades, patches, hot fixes on servers, workstations, and network hardware.
  • Create and modify scripts or applications to perform tasks.
  • Provide input on ways to improve the stability, security, efficiency, and scalability of the environment.
  • Collaborate with other teams and team members to develop automation strategies and deployment processes.
  • IT Audits & Compliance - The position will be responsible for supporting monthly, quarterly, and semi-annual IT reviews for the Business and remediating any resulting issues. The position also provides support to internal and external audits.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university in Computer Science or related discipline; documented work experience accepted in lieu of college degree. 
  • 5+ years of directly related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5-7 years of experience must be in a Linux server and desktop management.
  • Knowledge and experience with: Redhat, CentOS, Ubuntu, Windows
  • Familiarity with VMWare, Hyper-V, and KVM hypervisor technologies and SAN
  • Bash, Powershell scripting
  • Solid knowledge of protocols such as DNS, HTTP, LDAP, SMTP and SNMP.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365
  • Experience and expertise with Microsoft 365 GCCHIGH is advantageous

Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000/year
