Delva Tool (DTM) is seeking a Junior Buyer for our
Cinnaminson, NJ
location. The
Junior Buyer
will support daily purchasing activities, assist in managing supplier relationships, and ensure timely delivery of raw materials, tooling, and production supplies to support efficient manufacturing operations. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow in procurement and supply chain within a fast-paced, precision-driven industry
*This position works a schedule of Monday thru Friday from 8:00am - 5:00pm. The salary range for this position is between $56,000 - $67,000/year depending on experience*
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in sourcing and purchasing raw materials, components, tooling, and MRO supplies.
- Issue purchase orders (POs) and confirm order details (pricing, quantities, lead times) with vendors.
- Monitor open POs and follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time deliveries.
- Communicate with production and planning teams to prioritize urgent material needs.
- Maintain accurate records of purchasing activities and update ERP/MRP systems accordingly.
- Help evaluate supplier performance related to quality, cost, and delivery.
- Resolve order discrepancies, such as shipment delays, short shipments, or invoice issues.
- Assist with inventory control by tracking stock levels and recommending reorders.
- Support vendor onboarding, price comparison, and quote analysis.
- Uphold company quality and compliance standards in all purchasing activities.
Experience, Qualifications, and Skills
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
- 1+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or a related administrative role (preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting).
- Familiarity with CNC machining or industrial supply chains is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook) and experience with ERP/MRP systems.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
