PURPOSE:

The System Planner is responsible for managing all short notice charter and ACMI flight requests to the Operation Control Center (OCC) and the aircraft routings for all scheduled and non-scheduled Avelo flights. This position evaluates airports for suitability and payload capability for non-scheduled flights and is responsible for obtaining and managing required operating permits for all Avelo flights.

RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Update the update the flight schedule for short notice charters and ACMI Programs in the flight management systems
  • Upload the SSIM file into the flight management system.
  • Evaluate charter airports for suitability.
  • Perform expected payload analysis for proposed charter and ACMI routes.
  • Obtain required operating permits for all Avelo flights.
  • Route aircraft for scheduled maintenance events and charter flying.
  • Examine and recommend changes to improve the quality and efficiency of the operation.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Minimum three (3) years in 14 CFR 121 airline operations control center/system operations in dispatch.
  • Experience in basic computer programs, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and OneNote, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Must be able to work a rotating schedule with variable hours including nighttime or overnight hours, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

X-FACTORS


  • FAA Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate.
  • Bachelor’s Degree.

May perform other responsibilities as assigned. Responsibilities and duties may change when circumstances dictate (e.g., emergencies, changes in workload, etc.).
