SENIOR ACCOUNTANT who not only ensures accuracy in today’s work but also helps define the future of our accounting and finance function. Beginning with a strong foundation in our established processes, this role is designed for someone who can quickly progress beyond execution to improvement, identifying efficiencies, driving automation opportunities, and playing an active role in upcoming system migrations. The Senior Accountant is a key contributor in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial records, supporting month-end close and ensuring high-quality financial reporting.

Senior Accountant Responsibilities:
Finance & Accounting Functions
- Support month-end close, including revenue recognition and variance analysis.
- Prepare and post journal entries; perform account reconciliations and analyses.
- Forecast short-term cash needs and report variances to management.
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Assist in preparing financial statements (income, cash flow, balance sheet).
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts, resolving discrepancies.
Compliance, Audit & Tax
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies.
- Prepare documentation for audits and respond to auditor inquiries.
- Provide data for tax filings and CPA firm requirements.
Process Improvement & Projects
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
- Support or lead system upgrades and implementations.
- Challenge existing workflows to enhance efficiency.
Other Responsibilities
- Provide backup coverage across accounting functions.
- Mentor junior staff and support training/development.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or in progress)
- 3+ years of accounting experience (G/L and financial reporting preferred)
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
- Experience with ERP, payroll, or reporting tools
- Interest in system improvements or automation initiatives
- Highly detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Work Schedule: Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8AM to 5PM, with occasional overtime as needed. Training period will be fully in-office. After training, the role follows a hybrid schedule of 4 days in-office and 1 day remote, with flexibility as needed.
