We’re a fast-growing team of 50+ employees, composed of innovative and engaged individuals working collaboratively to deliver a unique digital home buying experience.The Role:The Senior Accountant will play a key role within the Finance and Operations team, responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, full-cycle accounting, and adherence to accounting standards.

This role will support month-end and year-end processes, maintain reconciliations, and prepare schedules for review. The Senior Accountant will provide detailed financial analysis and reporting to enable effective decision-making and support organizational growth.What You'll Be Doing:

  • Execute or review month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with IFRS/GAAP standards.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly internal financial reports.
  • Support preparation of working papers, schedules, and documentation for audits and regulatory filings.
  • Perform reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies.
  • Assist with lender and broker reporting processes.
  • Collaborate with Finance Operations to prepare variance analyses and financial statements.
  • Maintain digital filing systems for contracts and accounting documentation.
  • Provide ad-hoc financial analysis as required.
  • Support process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency within the accounting function.
  • Track and file contracts

What You Bring:

  • 3–5 years of full-cycle accounting experience in a growing organization.
  • Strong understanding of IFRS/GAAP and accounting principles.
  • Proven experience with month-end close and GL reconciliations.
  • Advanced MS Excel (pivot tables, vlookups); experience with Workday or other ERP is an asset.
  • Post-secondary education in accounting or finance; CPA designation or active pursuit preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and self-motivation.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

A candidate selected for this position must pass a criminal background check.Lendesk is committed to offering competitive salaries to all our team members. This role has a salary range of  $60,000- $90,000 CAD which accounts for the skills you’ll bring to the team, the impact you’ll have on the business, and the growth you’ll experience in the role.
