Overview-
We're seeking a Lead, Finance Systems & Strategy Analyst to drive the evolution of our end-to-end finance technology stack with both strategic vision and hands-on execution. This hybrid role combines business systems analysis and finance architecture, shaping how we scale our Quote-to-Cash (Q2C), Record-to-Report (R2R), and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes.You'll act as a key partner to Finance, Accounting, RevOps, Procurement, and IT, delivering scalable solutions that enable automation, compliance, and real-time visibility.
With an AI-first mindset, you'll guide the modernization of our finance systems ecosystem, optimizing for integration, accuracy, and business velocity.
Key Responsibilities-
Strategy & Architecture
Lead the design and implementation of future-state finance system architecture, ensuring alignment with business growth, compliance, and automation goalsTranslate business needs into scalable, integrated solutions across core financial processesContribute to developing roadmaps to drive operational efficiency and data-driven decision-making
Business Analysis & Delivery
Gather and document business requirements, map current and future state processes, and create clear user stories and test plansDesign, configure, and deploy enhancements across the finance systems landscape, particularly in Quote-to-Cash and revenue recognition workflowsLead user acceptance testing cycles, manage stakeholder communications, and support change enablement
AI-First Modernization
Identify opportunities to embed AI and automation in financial operations—from approvals and reconciliations to forecasting and anomaly detectionServe as an internal thought leader in applying intelligent automation to reduce manual effort and improve data accuracy
Governance & Compliance
Ensure all systems and processes are compliant with SOX and other relevant financial regulationsSupport month-end close, audit documentation, and ongoing internal control testingPartner with cross-functional teams to translate finance policy into system logic
Team Enablement & Leadership
Mentor junior team members and help define operating models for a growing finance systems functionContribute to onboarding and knowledge sharing as we expand the team and capabilities
Qualifications-
10+ years in finance systems, business analysis, or solution architecture roles with a blend of strategic and hands-on experienceStrong knowledge of core Q2C, R2R, and P2P processes including revenue recognition and billingDemonstrated experience designing and implementing scalable finance systems in high-growth environmentsFamiliarity with SOX, ASC 606, and financial compliance frameworksExperience applying AI, automation, or intelligent workflows in financeStrong collaboration, communication, and documentation skillsExperience with integration tools and cloud-based financial platforms is a plusProven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment with a team-first mindset
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: We offer competitive compensation packages commensurate with experience, including salary, equity, and where applicable, performance-based pay. Our Talent Acquisition Team can answer questions around dbt Labs' total rewards during your interview process. In select locations (including Boston, Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, New York City, San Francisco, Washington, DC, and Seattle), an alternate range may apply, as specified below.
- The typical starting salary range for this role is: 166,000 USD to 223,000 USD
