NSI Industries is seeking a motivated 2nd Shift Shipping Associate to join our team at our Sandshell Drive Distribution Center in Fort Worth, TX. This is a full-time, second-shift position (2:30 PM – 11:00 PM) supporting our dynamic and fast-paced operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Audit small parcel and LTL orders for accuracy and correct errors as they are discovered
- Pack customer orders effectively to provide safe handling by carriers
- Pack customer orders, both physically and systematically, to ensure carton level detail
- Ships small parcel & LTL orders using appropriate shipping software (Softeon or Recon Logistics)
- Prints appropriate shipping documentation for packages and affixes to outgoing cartons
- Assists in loading outgoing shipments by hand or by forklift
- Works closely with the customer service team to resolve order related issues
- Picks customer orders as needed by accurately obtaining merchandise from bins or shelves
- Operates any material handling equipment safely and efficiently as required
- Helps maintain area cleanliness, safety, security, and organization of the distribution center
- Assists in managing and distributing customer orders to appropriate order pullers
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work independently and stay on task to complete given assignments
- Ability to work with handheld scanners and/or computer equipment
- Ability to comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions
- Must be able to lift 45lbs repeatedly
- Must be able to work standing/walking for the majority of the workday
- Must be able to visually distinguish detail, color, and other characteristics of material and objects
- Finger/wrist dexterity to work effectively on computer keyboard or grabbing/packaging product
