Our mission is to strengthen international trade by facilitating the physical movement and marketing of chemicals, polymers, fuels, and other raw materials across the globe.Job Summary:We are actively seeking a Procurement Manager – Polyethylene in Houston, Texas to handle the physical purchase of Polyethylene across North America.Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Physical purchases of Polyethylene from North America.
  • Work closely with the Product Director in developing and expanding the global supply and sales of Polyethylene to new and existing supplier relationships, implementing sourcing strategies, product procurement and trade execution and supplier relationship.
  • Responsible for day-to-day purchases and interface with Tricon’s distribution and trading teams globally, including both contract and non-contract polyethylene producers in North America.
  • Day-to-day coordination with the other Tricon regions regarding imports or exports and to ascertain the best markets for placement of available products from North America to maximize profitability.
  • Support and assist inventory management and supply chain activities for North America export sales including gathering and inputting sales forecasts from all regional offices, monitoring product procurement and supply issues and assisting in the resolution of problems.
  • Assist in monitoring Global pricing and demand trends for Polyethylene.
  • Reporting key performance metrics and global positions to Global Product Director and Risk Management team.
  • Maintain a strategic understanding of external influences such as market demand and supply, producer rates, opportunities, and complications to provide high and efficient feedback to management.
  • Perform inventory management and daily position reports with market- to-market and loss control at all stages of the supply chain.
  • 30% Domestic and International Travel to client sites and company offices required

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
  • Five (5) years experience as Supply Chain Specialist

Qualifications/Skills:

  • The five (5) years of experience must be experience with international sales and business development, operations planning, marketing, supply chain environment in the global polymer market including polyethylene portfolio and end-use-markets.
