Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional customer service to patients, families, and team members
- Perform routine clinical tasks under the direction of physicians and office managers
- Escort patients to exam rooms, obtain and document vital signs in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Administer medications and injections as directed, following proper technique and documentation protocols (medication name, dosage, lot number, route, and patient reaction)
- Update patient records during visits, including medications, allergies, and family/medical history
- Handle patient phone calls, address concerns, or relay messages to the appropriate provider
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred
- Knowledge of basic nursing practices and clinical procedures
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care and teamwork
- Ability to work collaboratively with providers and colleagues in a fast-paced setting
- Willingness to travel to satellite locations as needed
- Active and appropriate nursing or Medical Assistant certification/licensure required
