The Role:


We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Atlassian Administrator to manage, configure, and support our suite of Atlassian tools (primarily Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and related plugins). The ideal candidate will ensure system integrity, streamline workflows, support teams in optimizing project delivery, and enhance collaboration across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:


Administration & Configuration:


Manage and maintain Atlassian Cloud or Server/Data Center applications including Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and Jira Service Management.Create, customize, and optimize workflows, permission schemes, screens, custom fields, dashboards, and automation rules.Administer user access, project configurations, groups, and roles.

Support & Troubleshooting:


Serve as the primary point of contact for Atlassian tool-related issues and service requests.Diagnose and resolve performance, configuration, and integration issues.Provide Tier 2/3 support for Atlassian platform users.

Process Improvement & Enablement:


Collaborate with engineering, product, QA, and business teams to optimize project and ticketing workflows.Train and empower users on best practices, usage tips, and new features.Support Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe methodologies via appropriate Jira configurations.

Integration & Automation:


Integrate Atlassian tools with other platforms (Slack, GitHub/GitLab, Okta, Jenkins, Salesforce, etc.).Create and maintain automation rules using Jira Automation, Scriptrunner, or other tools.Manage plugin/add-on lifecycle and evaluate new apps as needed.

Governance & Maintenance:


Monitor system performance, perform upgrades, manage backups, and maintain data integrity.Enforce governance standards and ensure compliance with internal policies and security protocols.Maintain documentation of processes, configurations, and changes.

Qualifications:


Required:


3+ years of hands-on experience administering Atlassian tools.Strong knowledge of Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and Confluence.Experience designing and managing complex Jira workflows and permission schemes.Experience with Atlassian Cloud and/or Data Center environments.Familiarity with Agile and DevOps practices.

Preferred:


Experience with third-party apps like ScriptRunner, Insight/Assets, Advanced Roadmaps, etc.Scripting experience (e.g., Groovy, Python, or Bash) for automation.Experience with user provisioning tools (e.g., Okta, LDAP, Azure AD).Atlassian certifications (e.g., ACP-100, ACP-120).

Soft Skills:


Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Strong communication and collaboration across technical and non-technical stakeholders.Detail-oriented with an emphasis on documentation and process.
