Flight Test Technician

The Flight Test Team is responsible for maintenance of the aircraft as required. Perform aircraft set up as required to perform test as developed by the Hermeus Engineering team. 

Responsibilities:


  • Aircraft Maintenance: Performing routine and specialized maintenance on aircraft to ensure operational readiness for flight tests. 
  • Test Operations: Executing flight test procedures and collecting data during test flights. 
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintaining and calibrating testing equipment used in flight tests. 
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Working with engineers, other technicians, and various teams to support flight test and aircraft build activities. 
  • Innovation: Contributing to the development of new aerospace technologies through participation in testing and evaluation.  
  • Accountability for tools: Maintaining positive control over all tools used during maintenance is paramount to prevent foreign object debris (FOD) which can cause damage to the aircraft or its components 

Minimum Requirements:


  • Possess current FAA Airframe and Powerplant licenses.
  • Must have basic working knowledge of hand tools
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.

Preferred Skills and Experience


  • Previous maintenance experience maintaining aircraft.

  • Working Conditions and Physical Requirements: We will be working in cold and hot environments. Working in a hangar, on the flight line and on the runway.  Safety is paramount, with stringent protocols ensuring a secure workplace. Collaboration is key, providing opportunities to work closely with a skilled team dedicated to innovation.   
  • This position requires the candidate be able to: 
  • Work at elevated heights and confined spaces.   
  • Lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.   
  • Stoop, bend, crawl, and maneuver in tight spaces.   
  • Work outdoors, in all weather conditions.   

$80,000 - $120,000 a yearThe salary information provided is a general guideline only.
