Job Description


Position Summary


We are seeking an experienced treasury analyst to join our Treasury department at a large public energy company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cash management and treasury functions, with experience in managing surety bonds.

Reporting Structure


This position reports directly to the Treasury Manager

Primary Responsibilities


  • Perform cash management functions, including daily cash position, short term forecasting, and revolver borrowing/paydown requests
  • Prepare various monthly and quarterly reports
  • Serve as the primary bank administrator, managing account maintenance, service updates and fee analysis
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with banking partners
  • Manage surety bond program, serving as liaison between the company and surety
  • Collaborate with Land and Regulatory departments to ensure timely issuance of surety bonds and renewals        
  • Serve as backup for regulatory tax payments, cash entries and GL reconciling
  • Execute special projects and ad hoc Treasury requests
  • Assist with external audit and tax requests
  • Ensure compliance with Sarbanes/Oxley 404 controls and procedures

Education and Experience Requirements


  • Bachelors or Masters degree in accounting or finance required
  • 3+ years experience in corporate treasury or banking required
  • 3+ years experience in cash management strongly preferred
  • Basic understanding of surety bonds, with ability to quickly learn and manage surety bond program
  • Experience with cash entries and bank reconciliations preferred
  • Experience with SAP is desirable, though not required
  • Experience in oil & gas is preferred, though not required
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
