Job Purpose:
We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our Corporate Finance team. This role is ideal for a motivated accounting professional eager to grow into greater responsibility. The Staff Accountant will demonstrate strong ownership of assigned tasks, attention to detail, and the initiative to identify improvements. With demonstrated performance, this individual will be well-positioned for advancement to Senior Accountant and beyond.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Assist in preparing financial statements and management reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Partner with colleagues across finance and operations to ensure completeness of accounting records.
- Maintain compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
- Help strengthen internal controls and streamline accounting processes.
- Participate in audit preparation and provide supporting documentation as needed.
- Contribute to special projects, systems implementations, and process improvement initiatives.
Job Qualifications:
- Must have advanced Excel skills and experience working in an ERP system (Microsoft NAV preferable)
- Must have a firm understanding of GL accounts and GAAP
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CPA-eligible preferred
- Must be highly organized, able to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
