What you’ll do as an Associate Information Security Analyst
Join our IT Engineering department as an Information Security Analyst. You'll work with our Information Security team, which manages our SaaS applications, identity providers, and endpoint security for both Windows and Mac systems.In this role, your primary focus will be on security reviews. Using established standard operating procedures (SOPs), you'll review security events and escalate any suspicious incidents to our Information Security Analysts and Engineers for deeper investigation. You'll also support our Data Loss Prevention and Insider Risk mitigation efforts by gathering and assessing data related to access logs and data movement.
Who you are
We're looking for a motivated and curious individual who is excited to start or grow their career in cybersecurity. This role is a great fit for a recent college graduate in the Chicagoland area or someone with a few years of experience. You're a self-starter who can manage multiple priorities and has a strong sense of urgency.You'll thrive in this role if you're a quick learner and are ready to take on new challenges. You're capable of diving deep into technical details when needed, but can also easily switch gears to meet business needs.
We want someone who can quickly grasp complex technical concepts and translate them into measurable business outcomes.
What We Look For
Required:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a cybersecurity or IT role, or a recent college graduate with a degree in a relevant field.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity and privacy principles.
- Experience with reviewing user activity and system logs.
- Familiarity with SIEM tools, including building queries, dashboards, and alerts.
- Experience documenting security breaches and other key metrics.
Preferred:
- Experience with Platform and Endpoint Data Loss Prevention (DLP) tools.
- Experience with eDiscovery tools.
- Familiarity with assessing the effectiveness of security controls and analyzing logs for potential threats.
- Knowledge of SASE/SSE (Secure Access Service Edge/Security Service Edge) and Zero Trust security architecture.
- General awareness of endpoint security tools, including SecOps, EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response), and vulnerability management.
The base annual salary range is listed below. This role is eligible for additional incentives, including an annual bonus.Base Salary Range$60,000—$75,000 USD
