The Role
We’re looking for sharp, self-motivated, problem-solving Senior Infrastructure Engineers to join our team.As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you’ll work with a small team to build solutions in AWS that keep CompanyCam’s web and mobile applications humming. You’ll collaborate with product engineers to deploy new features and improve our existing infrastructure to make it more reliable, resilient, and secure.We’re currently hiring for two focus areas within Infrastructure; while all Infrastructure Engineers share a core set of responsibilities, you may bring expertise in one of these domains:
Infrastructure Security
If you’re passionate about securing cloud environments, you’ll focus on configuring AWS for security and working with services like
AWS Config, Inspector, and Shield.
You’ll help us proactively harden our systems, ensuring compliance, defining and enforcing security policies, building automation and ensuring that the organization can detect, respond to, and investigate security incidents.
Infrastructure Platform
If you’re driven to make developers’ lives easier, you’ll work on the core services we use to deploy applications and improve our internal developer experience platform. This includes documenting patterns, practices, and processes, helping our engineering teams move quickly, safely, and consistently.

What We Ask Of You
Must-haves
These are our non-negotiables:
- Show up: give us your best and have the bravery to do difficult but necessary stuff.

- Do good: treat your co-workers and our customers the way you want to be treated.
- Strong knowledge of AWS, including its networking, relational database management and cloud storage services.
- Experience deploying containerized applications and working with Github Actions and Terraform.
- Capable of scripting in bash, ruby and/or python.
- Able to break down a complex task and document its solution
- Understands how to analyze an existing system to identify improvements
- Be technically savvy and hungry to learn.
- Reside permanently and currently somewhere in the U.S. Alas, we're not set up to hire outside of the U.S.
Plus:
Infrastructure Security
- Experience deploying AWS security services (AWS Config, Inspector, and Shield)
- Experience implementing and maintaining security alerting across infrastructure domains
Infrastructure Platform
- Experience with AWS ECS/EKS Fargate
Nice-to-haves
Day to day, you’ll spend most of your time designing, improving and deploying infrastructure services to AWS. You’ll be able to have even more impact if you have expertise in one or more of the following:
- Datadog, Grafana, OpenTelemetry
- AWS Fargate, OpenSearch or PostgreSQL
- Designing systems for security and high availability
- Generative AI tools for enhancing infrastructure systems
- Producing and presenting educational content of technical concepts
Benefits & Compensation
This is a salaried/hourly position at CompanyCam. Our starting salary range is
$200,000 -$210,000
