Role OverviewWe are seeking a highly motivated Channel Account Manager in the Central US (Chicago, IL) to drive growth through Alkira’s partner ecosystem. This position will report to the Director of Channel Sales and will require travel about 50% of the time. This role is responsible for developing and managing strategic relationships with VARs, global system integrators, and technology partners to expand Alkira’s footprint in enterprise accounts. The ideal candidate has strong experience in channel sales, cloud, or networking, with a proven track record of enabling partners to deliver value and revenue.Key Responsibilities

  • Channel Development: Recruit, onboard, and manage strategic channel partners including VARs, distributors, MSPs, and global integrators.
  • Sales Growth: Drive pipeline and revenue growth through joint account planning, demand generation, and co-selling with partners.
  • Enablement: Educate partners on Alkira’s Cloud Networking as-a-Service solutions, ensuring they are equipped to position, sell, and deliver effectively.
  • Partner Programs: Execute Alkira’s partner program initiatives, incentives, and joint marketing campaigns to strengthen partner engagement.
  • Forecasting & Reporting: Maintain accurate partner pipeline and forecast reporting, providing visibility to leadership.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Alkira’s direct sales, marketing, and technical teams to ensure alignment with channel initiatives.
  • Market Expansion: Identify new partner opportunities in target verticals and regions to broaden Alkira’s market reach.

Qualifications

  • Experience in channel sales, partner account management, or alliances—preferably in networking, cloud, or SaaS.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure and partner ecosystems.
  • Demonstrated success driving revenue through indirect sales and partner-led opportunities.
  • Experience working with value-added resellers (VARs), TSD’s, Service Providers and distributors.
  • Proven ability to develop joint business plans, manage partner programs, and execute go-to-market strategies.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment.
  • Ability to travel about 50% during the year
