Staff


Senior Accountant on our Accounting and Finance team, you will be instrumental in overseeing and executing daily accounting activities. Working closely with the Assistant Controller, you will contribute meaningfully to core accounting operations, financial reporting, and cross-functional strategic initiatives.We're looking for a detail-oriented self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and a desire to grow alongside a scaling organization. Job Location


Onsite in Brooklyn, New York

Job Responsibilities


  • Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Work closely with the Assistant Controller to enhance and streamline accounting processes
  • Support monthly and year-end close processes
  • Contribute to audit preparation and ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements
  • Help implement financial systems upgrades or integrations, as needed
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure accuracy and transparency of financial data
  • As our team and goals grow, your responsibilities may adapt to meet changing needs or new opportunities

Required Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 3-5+ years of Accounting experience
  • NetSuite experience 
  • Experience with expense management systems
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and internal controls

Desired Qualifications


  • CPA
  • Start-up experience, preferably in a life sciences company

Compensation


The base salary range for this role is $80K-$120K, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications. In addition to base pay, this role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and/or equity grants subject to board approval and company policy.
