Position Summary


We are looking for a Staff Software Engineer to step into a high-impact, high-autonomy role focused on exploring and building with emerging technologies. You will work at the intersection of real-time media, avatar technologies, and LLM-driven agentic systems, prototyping and delivering capabilities that have never been built before at Vivun.You will be expected to quickly master unfamiliar domains, navigate ambiguity with confidence, and deliver production-ready solutions by combining strong technical fundamentals with rapid self-directed learning.You’ll collaborate directly with our CEO, CTO, Product Managers, and engineers to architect, build, test, and refine next-generation features for Vivun’s AI products, with a focus on fast discovery and rapid iteration.

Key Responsibilities


  • Own end-to-end delivery of experimental and production features, from initial exploration through to deployment.
  • Rapidly prototype and validate emerging technologies (e.g., real-time voice and avatars) and associated platforms (e.g., Heygen, ElevenLabs and open source alternatives).
  • Build LLM based multi-agent systems incorporating real-time processing, knowledge graphs, extended memory, and context from multiple data sources and tools.
  • Leverage a deep understanding of how real-time communication providers (Zoom, Teams, Meet, etc.) operate to integrate with agentic systems.
  • Harden experimental prototypes into robust, scalable enterprise systems.

Desired Skills & Experience


  • 10+ years in a software engineering role, with a proven ability to learn unfamiliar technologies quickly.
  • BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science (or related) or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven experience mentoring and guiding engineering teams, with a track record of driving complex projects in dynamic environments
  • Deep fundamentals in distributed systems, networking, and application architecture.
  • AI & LLM frameworks: Hands-on in prompt engineering, LangChain/LangGraph, RAG, embeddings, and knowledge graphs.
  • Experience with AI/ML observability, monitoring, and evaluation frameworks
  • Fluency in HTML, CSS, React and TypeScript
  • Real-time voice synthesis, streaming protocols, WebRTC, WebSockets.
  • Demonstrable proficiency in writing maintainable, production-quality Python code
  • Hands-on experience with SQL and noSQL databases (Snowflake, Postgres, DynamoDB)
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (CircleCI, Harness)
  • Proficient in deploying containerized solutions in AWS ECS, EKS / Kubernetes (k8s)
  • Design and build secure and scalable authentication solutions (SAML, OIDC, OAuth2.0).
  • Web application and networking security (OWASP).

Compensation Range: $190K - $220K
