Purpose
:
The Solutions and Engineering Manager is responsible for the leadership of Scrum teams while actively participating in software development. This role focuses on Agile best practices, cloud adoption, and delivering high-quality solutions. The Manager collaborates with stakeholders, mentors engineers, and supports the development of scalable, business-aligned software within an Azure or on-prim environment.The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by persons assigned to the job.

Specific Responsibilities
:
Scrum Team Leadership and Collaboration:
- Lead one or more Scrum teams, ensuring Agile principles are followed to enhance efficiency and collaboration.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture that encourages innovation and accountability.
- Work closely with product owners and stakeholders to ensure alignment of engineering efforts with business goals.
Agile Development and Execution:
- Support Agile methodologies and ensure teams follow best practices in Scrum.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Assist in backlog management, sprint execution, and continuous delivery improvements.
Hands-On Development and Code Contribution:
- Actively participate in software development, writing and reviewing code alongside the team.
- Ensure high-quality, maintainable code and adherence to best practices.
- Troubleshoot technical challenges and provide innovative solutions.
Azure Development and Cloud Transition:
- Contribute to cloud-based development and deployment strategies using Azure.
- Assist in the transition of legacy applications to cloud-native architectures.
- Optimize cloud services for scalability, security, and efficiency.
People Management and Development:
- Provide mentorship and career development support for engineers.
- Conduct performance reviews, offer feedback, and support professional growth.
- Encourage continuous learning and skill enhancement within the team.
Process Improvement and Risk Management:
- Identify opportunities to optimize development workflows and engineering efficiency.
- Assist in mitigating risks and ensuring software reliability.
- Support the implementation of DevOps, CI/CD, and automation initiatives.

Position Requirements
:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of software development experience with expertise in the Microsoft technology stack.
- 2+ years of leadership or mentorship experience within a software engineering team.
- Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and Scrum frameworks.
- Experience with Azure cloud services and cloud-based application development.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to balance leadership responsibilities with hands-on development work.
- Passion for mentoring and fostering a collaborative team environment.
- The ability to work independently within a fast-paced environment.
- Must not have been convicted of any civil or criminal charge that would suggest a risk to Bank security.
- Ability to work full-time.

Hiring Range: $127,000 - $149,000Hiring ranges reflect the base salary that the Bank reasonably expects to pay for a given role and is not inclusive of annual incentive award opportunities, retirement benefits or the value of other health and welfare or other ancillary benefits. We consider many factors when determining base salaries such as individual background and experience, the competitive environment, education, particular skill set(s), and industry and institutional knowledge.
