Position: Senior Leasing Associate, Commercial Division – Baltimore, MD
We are seeking a dynamic, results-oriented
Senior Leasing Associate
to join the commercial team. This individual will be responsible for leasing efforts across our Maryland portfolio of retail properties, developing strong relationships with prospective tenants and brokers, and executing lease transactions that maximize property performance.*Hybrid schedule.
Most Important Responsibilities:
Leasing Execution & Deal Management
- Source, negotiate, and execute new leases, renewals, lease assignments, and amendments to drive occupancy and revenue growth.
- Prepare financial lease analyses to evaluate deal terms and support internal approvals.
- Draft and negotiate letters of intent (LOIs) with prospective tenants.
- Manage leasing pipeline for portfolio of properties.
Tenant & Broker Relationships
- Build and maintain relationships with tenant prospects, national and local retailers, and the real estate brokerage community.
- Conduct cold calling, networking, and targeted marketing to generate qualified leasing leads.
- Conduct property tours and meetings with tenant prospects and brokers.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with internal construction and property management teams to determine scopes of work for tenant improvements.
- Coordinate lease handoff to property management
Market Research & Strategy
- Analyze local market conditions, competing properties, rental rates, and tenant trends to inform leasing strategy.
- Present a detailed leasing and marketing plan for assigned properties on a quarterly basis.
- Contribute to annual budgeting and reforecasting processes with leasing projections.
Lease Administration & Documentation
- Work with internal lease administration and legal teams to ensure accurate lease documentation and timely execution.
- Monitor critical dates and ensure adherence to lease terms.
Most Important Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 3–5 years of commercial real estate experience in leasing, sales, or asset management (retail strongly preferred).
- Proven ability to negotiate complex lease terms and build strong professional relationships.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Familiarity with leasing tools and platforms (e.g. Yardi, CoStar, Salesforce).
- Self-starter with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset and strong organizational skills.
- Frequent local travel required (vehicle allowance provided).
