Due to growth, we are looking to add an Associate Attorney to our legal team.
Attorney Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in civil court proceedings related to consumer debt collection lawsuits.
- Review and assess legal claims brought by creditors, debt buyers, and collection agencies.
- Develop case strategies and defenses based on applicable federal and state consumer protection laws (e.g., FDCPA, FCRA, TCPA).
- Draft legal documents including answers, motions, discovery responses, and settlement agreements.
- Appear in court for hearings, trials, and settlement conferences.
- Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel and creditors.
- Advise clients on legal rights, options, and potential outcomes related to debt-related matters.
- Conduct legal research to support case preparation and client defense.
- Maintain accurate case records and manage a high-volume caseload efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and internal team members.
Attorney Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the state bar in good standing.
