About this Role
We’re looking for a Formulation Development Intern to join our Apeel Labs team! You will support our Senior Scientists and be mentored in data acquisition. Within this role, you will report to our Senior Manager of Formulation Development.
What You’ll Do
- Participate in the collection and analysis of physical and chemical characteristics of formulations.
- Assist in the design and development of new formulations and the improvement of existing ones.
- Conduct laboratory experiments, including weighing, mixing, and testing of raw materials and prototypes.
- Maintain accurate and detailed experimental records, including observations and results.
- Prepare samples for internal evaluation.
- Support general lab maintenance, including inventory management and equipment calibration.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as quality control, regulatory, and manufacturing.
What You Bring
- Currently pursuing B.S. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or related field as an incoming junior or senior.
- Hands-on laboratory experience (i.e, weighing, mixing, and testing of materials) in either an academic or an industry setting.
- Familiarity with basic lab equipment and safety procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate experimental records.
- Collaborative mindset with good communication skillsfor working in cross-functional teams.
