Subject Matter Expert (Pressure Management Group)

Hiring Range:


The hiring range for this position is $138,000 - $150,000 annual (base) plus Quarterly Profit Sharing. This is the pay scale range Caltrol reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of this posting. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and may vary based on geographic region, skills, qualifications, and experience of the candidate along with the requirements of the position. 

What you'll be doing:


  • Work with account managers to provide technical Pressure Management support on manager’s accounts.
  • Determine and understand the customer’s key business issues and needs. 
  • Create solutions utilizing pressure management products, services, and solutions offered by Caltrol. 
  • Assist Inside support staff with preparation of quotations, sourcing equipment, and closing orders, as necessary. 
  • Provide product training both internally for Caltrol and externally for customers. 
  • Drive supplier initiatives and new product sales.

What we’re looking for:


  • 5+ years of experience in outside sales or comparable work experience. 
  • Background in Pressure Management Products and Solutions, specifically Pressure Control (Regulators) and Tank Blanketing.  
  • Working knowledge of Fisher Regulators, Enardo, Varec and competitive product lines.
  • Existing or recent customer relationships in Utilities, Refining, Power and Accounts within the Southwest U.S. (CA, NV, AZ and HI).
  • Dedication to customer service excellence.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills. 

Preferred:


  • Four-year Mechanical Engineering degree preferred.
  • Background in pressure regulators, industrial valves and process control preferred.
  • Knowledge of Emerson’s Process Management product lines and services

Expected Hours / Work Schedule:


The job is scheduled Monday-Friday. Extended hours as required by customer/suppliers dictate. 

Work Environment:


This job is performed primarily at home and at customer sites throughout Caltrol’s region. When at home, employee is responsible for setting the work environment to their needs.When on customer sites, the environments will vary. Sites can be loud, may be warm in summer or cold in winter, and may include both indoor and outdoor sites. Customer sites will require the use of Personal Protection Equipment, which will vary, but at a minimum will include safety shoes, gloves, hearing protection, and safety glasses.

Physical Demands:


This job will require significant amounts of sitting. A standing desk may be available if accommodations are required. This job requires the use of a computer and a telephone. Employee will be expected to drive/fly to customer sites, including plant environments throughout Caltrol’s territory. While on site, employee may need to climb, bend, walk up or downstairs,  and may occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. 

Travel:


Approximately 80% of the job involves travel. Most travel will occur within the Caltrol region. Travel will require frequent overnight stays.
