NOVA Engineering & Environmental is seeking motivated individuals to join our team as
a Municipal Site Inspector in Naples, FL. This entry-level role is ideal for candidates with hands-on experience inconstruction materials testing, landscaping, or utility installation/maintenance. You’ll receive training to perform inspections of active construction sites and infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with county standards and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct field inspections of site development, stormwater systems, utilities, and landscaping installations.
- Verify compliance with approved construction plans, environmental codes, and engineering standards.
- Document field conditions through photographs, measurements, and written reports.
- Assist with reviewing development plans, permits, and as-built drawings.
- Communicate with contractors, developers, and property owners to resolve site issues.
- Participate in pre-construction meetings and site walk-throughs.
- Learn and apply county procedures for inspections and reporting.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree or technical certification preferred.
- Experience in one or more of the following:
- Construction materials testing (e.g., concrete, soil, asphalt)
- Landscaping or irrigation system installation
- Utility work (e.g., water, sewer, electrical, telecom)
- Ability to read basic construction plans and follow technical instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Valid Florida driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with Florida building codes or stormwater regulations.
- Basic knowledge of GIS, CAD, or inspection software.
- Certifications such as ACI, FDOT, or OSHA 10/30 are a plus (training available).
Work Environment:
- Field-based role with exposure to active construction sites and outdoor conditions.
- Physical activity including walking, lifting, and climbing may be required.
