Summary of Primary Function/Scope:
Clinical Lead is a practicing clinician who is willing to mentor, develop, and provide direct support and supervision to a group of clinicians serving patients within Clinical Lead’s primary market. The primary role of the Clinic Lead is to ensure therapists are prepared to meet IHT standards of quality and patient outcomes. The Clinical Lead reports to the Clinical Manager, or Clinical Director if no manager exists in the market, who is ultimately responsible for ensuring compliance with IHT clinical quality standards.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Serves as a consistent resource for company and region-specific onboarding through initial 90-days for the assigned therapist/assistants and remains available as an ongoing resource for tenured therapists • Completes competency assessments either in person, virtually or through verification of self-assessments for new hires and annual assessments in collaboration with the Clinical Manager or Clinical Director• Conducts supervisory visits on as needed basis• Responsible for performance management of clinical staff• Fulfills responsibilities of a treating clinician as defined in the Job Description for the license held • support agency training requirements, or other initiatives that support the needs of therapists• Performs Clinical Interviews as requested by Talent Acquistion for new hires timely with support of Clinical Manager and/or Clinical Director • Performs QA to ensure quality documentation for both new hires within 90 days and at least bi-annually for tenured staff.Fulfill other roles and responsibilities as needed in alignment with scope of the position.• Monitors and manages reports of MV% and Utilization % to ensure patient outcomes as directed by Clinical Manager/Clinical Director
Education/Experience:
• Current licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist, Physical Therapist Assistant, Occupational Therapist, Occupational Therapy Assistant, or Speech Language Pathologist. • Doctorate, Masters, or Bachelor's degree of Physical, Occupational, or Speech Therapy from an accredited program. Associate or Bachelor's degree as a physical therapist assistant or occupational therapy assistant. • Two years of clinical experience in a home health or related health care organization
Other Knowledge, Skills, and Capabilities:
• Keep current with all changes or updates in federal, state, and local regulations or procedures, and updates the clinical team on relevant changes• Preferred membership of national professional association (APTA, AOTA, or ASHA)• Interfaces with Clinical Manager or Clinical Director to resolve any clinical issues when needed • Must be able to manage technology of multiple EMR’s, Microsoft Suite and other requirements.
Physical Requirements:
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
