Software Engineer, Level 3


What You Will Do:


As a Software Engineer Level 3, you will play a vital role in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of advanced software systems that support mission-critical operations. Working within a collaborative Agile team, you’ll build modern, scalable, and secure solutions aligned with national security objectives. Your expertise will be applied throughout the full software development lifecycle, with a strong focus on accessibility, security, and quality standards.Join our team to help deliver impactful solutions in a secure, mission-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Design, develop, and maintain robust web applications and services using modern frameworks and languages.
  • Create, consume, and document web services and REST APIs.
  • Develop and execute test procedures to validate software functionality and performance.
  • Ensure software components meet Section 508 Compliance standards for accessibility.
  • Generate, review, and maintain accurate technical and software documentation.
  • Collaborate in Agile team environments, participate in sprint planning, and contribute to continuous integration and delivery practices.
  • Use tools such as Jira and Confluence to track work and collaborate with team members.
  • Conduct peer reviews and ensure quality control of developed and modified codebases.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues across the software stack.

Required Skills and Qualifications:


  • Proficiency with the following technologies and tools:
  • React
  • Java & Spring Boot
  • JavaScript
  • Node.js
  • jQuery
  • AngularJS / Angular 2+
  • MongoDB
  • Git
  • Strong experience writing and consuming RESTful web services.
  • Familiarity with software testing practices and test case development.
  • Experience ensuring Section 508 accessibility compliance.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and using Jira and Confluence.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain high-quality software development practices.

Desired Qualifications


  • Familiarity or experience with:
  • Docker / Kubernetes
  • HAProxy
  • Nginx
  • Elastic Stack (ELK)

Education and Experience:


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • A minimum of 8+ years of software development experience with increasing levels of responsibility.

Clearance Requirement:


  • Must possess an active TS/SCI with appropriate Polygraph to be considered for this role
