Inventory Specialist

Primary Function:
The Inventory Specialist will be responsible for managing the inventory for all incoming and outgoing products and supplies. In addition, the Inventory Specialist will create and implement inventory management processes to maximize efficiencies. This role is responsible for Shipping, Receiving, and Material Handling functions.
Essential Job Functions - Responsibilities:
- Conduct inventory transfers and execute inventory adjustments
- Develop and document processes and strategies to meet company goals
- Investigate and resolve inconsistencies with inventory
- Use ERP and other resources to monitor demand and to forecast potential inventory issues
- Prepare reports on inventory operations, stock levels, and adjustments
- Schedule and execute cycle counts
- Track and report on non-conforming, damaged, or obsolete parts/products
- Make recommendations to leadership about improvements in inventory life cycle
- Optimize and continuously improve delivery, quality, and cost
- Ensure all labeling requirements are met in a timely manner
- Provide materials reports as requested or required by the client and/or the internal team
- Track parts orders and proactively report shortages to ensure timely fulfillment and maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Pull parts for builds and parts request
- Follow Business Technology policies to protect sensitive data and reduce information security occurrences.
Education and Experience: (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities)
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience
- Strong ERP background
- Self-starter mindset and the ability to create and implement processes
- Experience working with bills of materials (BOMs)
- Strong written and verbal English language communication skills.
- Excellent teamwork/interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, both within and outside one's own work group.

Work Environment
Shop:
Standard machine shop environment with various types of machinery. Appropriate safety garments (PPE) must be worn. Must be able to stand and work as long as 12 hours in different positions. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
